It feels like forever ago that I first met Hannah and Matthew in my photography studio in downtown Mt. Sterling (I’ve moved my studio to downtown Winchester since then–shameless plug: come see me for all your studio photography needs). Then Covid-19 came along and ruined everything. It was impossible to have the big wedding they had been dreaming of, but they decided to have a small ceremony on their original wedding date anyway and pushed their celebration with friends and family back. We finally got to have that celebration, and I couldn’t be anymore excited for Hannah and Matthew. They are one of the sweetest couples I’ve worked with, and everything about their delayed reception was laid back and truly perfect.
Their reception was held at MeadowView Weddings and Events in Morehead, KY. If you’re looking for a venue, I definitely recommend checking it out. They have a beautiful new, spacious bridal suite and options for indoor or outdoor ceremonies. Since Hannah and Matthew were already married, they opted not to have a ceremony. We did getting ready photos, group photos, and then they went straight into the reception for their first dance, dinner, and cake. I am so glad they opted to have the celebration with friends and family that they deserve, and I’m grateful that I was the one who got to document it for them.
Here’s a small glimpse into their Morehead, KY wedding day…
